FULL COLOR ILLUSTRATIONS
Well you made it this far, and I hope that you like what you are seeing.
Within this section you will see most of my full colored illustrations. My favorite mediums to work with when it comes to painting is watercolour and acrylics. I love the flexability of these two mediums. What I love most about them is the quickness of the drying times. Though I am a patient person in life, I do not like watching paint dry. Also, I really don't use watercolour in the tradional manner, I tend to use it like you would use acylics.
If you notice, when I am painting more serious subject matter, I focus more on a realistic approach. However, I love the freedom of a more whimsical style with my cartooning. I love fantasy. Some of my biggest influences in my work come from Japanese animation. I grew up watching Speed Racer, Battle of the Planets, Robotech and the Voltron series. Comic book artist Todd McFarlane was also a big inspiration.
On the more serious end of the art world, the Renaissance's Michaelangelo was also a huge influence. You may not see it in my work, but I have been truly inspired by his sculptures, engineering feets, and his paintings. Most of all I love the energy in his sketches. The Pre-Raphaelite brotherhood has also been a favorite. Arthur Hughes and Dante Gabriel Rossetti being my favorite painter's from that era.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy looking through my work.
